School Project Grants

In dedication to the enhancement and advocacy of San Pedro public schools, the San Pedro Education Foundation School Project Grants (SPG's) provides public school staff members and students the opportunity to develop new projects that may not otherwise be funded by state and federal school funding.

Application Requirements:

  • Grant funds must be used to launch or maintain a school program/project.
  • Applicants must be staff or students of public school within the San Pedro community.
  • Applicants must provide photos of the program/project once launched/maintained.
  • Applicants must complete the Appreciation Acknowledgment once launched/maintained.

Grant decisions are made on a monthly basis, at regularly scheduled board meetings held on the 15th of each month.

Application Process:

  1. Individuals/Organizations interested in applying for these funds should review the above-stated requirements to determine if your proposal meets them.
  2. Prepare a brief proposal (2 to 3 pages) providing the following information:
    1. Name and contact information of person (s) submitting the proposal.
    2. Include phone number, email address and physical address.
    3. Describe the project to be considered, where it will take place and how it will benefit the students in your school.
    4. What is the time frame? When will the project begin and end? (Must end in fiscal year money provided) (July 2025)
    5. Provide a detailed budget – the total amount requested and a breakdown of what the funds will be used for (be as specific as possible). Are there other funds needed to complete the project? If so, where will you get them?
  3. Letterhead: The proposal must be on sponsoring organization and/or school’s letterhead with their Federal Tax Identification Number (if applicable), contact name, business address, email address and phone number of the fiduciary officer to be responsible for receiving and administering the grant funds.
  4. Staff members or students must have the school principal complete and sign the San Pedro Education Foundation School Project Grant Application.
